VOLUNTEERING
for our Outings
Alot of our passengers need help and we have a fantastic team of volunteers who make it all work. They push the wheelchairs, give people a guiding/helping arm and generally help where needed. Our passengers often don't get out from one week to the next, and the volunteers act as friends and someone to talk to. Most have a cup of tea and a chat whilst they are out, and it is much more that just a shopping trip for them.
Call us and we will get you in for some training and show you how it works. It's great fun!
We also run outings for our passengers and similarly provide wheelchairs, scooters and a volunteer as necessary.
Many of them see their annual day out to Eastbourne as their summer holidays, and it is really worthwhile to give people the chance to get out of London and see the sea and breathe some fresh air.
It's hard to believe, but we often have to cancel people because we can't find a volunteer to help them, so please do come and help us - our passengers need you!​
